Another legislative session passed which meant another attempt by our legislators to deregulate Florida’s beauty industry by drastically lowering the required training hours. FRF fought hard all Session and with the help of your personal letters, calls and testimony, we were able to kill Senate Bill 1114.

But if there is one thing that we know going into the next session, it’s that we can expect a similar bill to be filed. That is why I am writing you today. If you have not already started contributing, we would like to encourage you to give to the Florida Retail Federation’s PAC.

Your contributions to the PAC help us build stronger relationships and stronger influence with the state’s lawmakers; this is the same influence that helped us succeed in killing the deregulation bill this session. We are in an election year with a lot of legislative members term-limited out, which means lots of new faces coming in. Your contributions to our PAC will help us make sure that we get business and retail-friendly candidates elected.

Below are the different levels that you can choose from to join, along with a link to pay online. Again, thank you for all of your help this session, and we look forward to working with you to make sure that the needs and the concerns of FRF’s Beauty Industry Council are known at the Capitol.
